By the Water

I went for a walk Friday evening with a friend. We took pictures next to a creek. I am wearing a vintage late 1960's dress I received as gift.

Oh and... I cut my hair. I cut my hair... This means I will make an appointment soon to have it fixed by a professional.

It looks better pulled up.

In any case, I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. It's likely that no one reading this blog except for a few will know any of the history surrounding this decision, but I've decided to go to law school after all. I don't know when, but I will.

I've been in an odd mood these last couple of days. I feel as though I am waking up from a dream discovering that I was, in fact, asleep. There has been a lot happening to me for the past ten years... to be exact. I think when so much is going on peripheral vision of everyday existence becomes a sort of... blurry. The soul goes into hibernation-waiting for the clearing after the storm when it's safe to see again- when it won't overload a person's mind to comprehend it all.

I think the most creative moments are the between times- before and after change. Perhaps the sometimes irreverent winds that move life along tend to unearth secrets... Blowing off covers and facades.

Then there is the after storm. Senses return as adrenaline fades- catharsis and loss, relief and resignation.

So, I'm going to law school. Thank goodness I finally know what I'm doing. :) (or at least it seems I do)

I think your hair looks very nice! Moments of clarity are always welcome...now if you could just dream up where I am supposed to go...
